Amy Carlson, a Pullman native, long-standing member of Living Faith, and a Pullman Christian School graduate, has been serving in Quito, Ecuador since 2009. She has been serving as a missionary in a teaching capacity. In 2013, she began as Coordinator for Scripture Union Ecuador, based out of England, an organization with whom she has worked as a volunteer since 2011. Primarily using their Scripture-based curriculum, the volunteers (Amy & the ones she oversees throughout Ecuador, both foreign & native) teach Values & Ethics Classes to primary & secondary students ranging from 8-30 years of age. Through this weekly interaction they are able to invite students to monthly events held in local parks or public areas where they host a program with a very specific evangelistic theme. During these events, local pastors & church members are invited and encouraged to participate, giving them opportunity to reach out to the children & eventually families in their communities.
